Kingdom of Cambodia: Phnom Penh

Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia were once territories by the French Colonial. Hence, the building do have some taste of French around the cities. Despite the beautiful cities, deep inside the heart of citizen were once haunted by an unforgotten memory where the dark age ruling the country.

Pol Pot, the leader of khmer and mastermind behind all the ruthless killing and torturing. Killed almost 1.7 to 2 million people among his own country, for the purpose to cleanse the country. Yeah, it sound crazy but unfortunately this is fact.

The site is a former high school which was used as the notorious Security Prison 21 (S-21) by the Khmer Rouge communist regime from its rise to power in 1975 to its fall in 1979. They were repeatedly tortured and coerced into naming family members and close associates, who were in turn arrested, tortured and killed.
